Winning Roulette Tips

Roulette is a table game that is largely based on luck, but there are a few things that you can do to make sure that you increase your odds of winning every time you play. So follow these expert player’s recommendations to ensure that you maximise your winning potential:

  • If at all possible, try to always play European Roulette as this has a considerably lower house advantage than American Roulette games (to give you an idea the difference is 2.63% versus 5.26%).
  • Try to find a European Roulette table that offers the “In Prison” or “la Partage” rules as these rules further decreases the house advantage.
  • If you must play American Roulette, ensure that the casino offers the “surrender” rule as this rule reduces the house edge on even money bets to 2.63%. Bets on odd/even, high/low, or red/black will result in the loss of only half of your wager instead of all of it should the ball land on a 0 or 00.
  • Should you find yourself on a losing streak, reduce your bet amounts and bet on a number in the middle column ensuring that you paint the number. For example, bet on Black 29 and place a chip on each corner around the number 29, then place a chip between the 0 and 00. This will lower your wager and give you time to regain some money and hopefully get back onto a winning streak.
  • Never make a Five Numbers bet as this increases the house edge to 7.89%.
  • Understand the odds of each of the bets you make. Wagers with the highest odds are single-number bets.
  • Do not try to use Roulette systems, especially those that are sold online, most of these don’t work effectively.
