Online casino wants copy of my credit card!
I use my credit card to buy casino chips at Expect Casino. Last week I was asked to send a copy of my ID, a utilty bill and copy of my credit card. It’s just like giving my life again. Why should I send this very sensitive information to any online casino? An online shop will never ask for any of this documents!

It is a challenge an online casino is facing. They need to protect themselves as much as possible from fraud and money laundry, but also need to take care of their customers. The risk department would like to verify
every new player, before making a deposit. Obviously, that is not possible. There are certain processes in place, when a casino asks for documents: certain deposit limit, certain amount of credit card transactions in a short time, big withdrawal. Reality is online casinos are highly exposed to fraud syndicates, groups of bonus hunter, credit card fraud and money laundry. The difference between online shops and casinos is that customers do much more transactions at casinos and that increases the risk. It is an unpleasant part of gambling online, but at one point or the other, you will be ask to verify who you are. There is no way around it. Sending a credit card attached to a email is actually not a smart way, because the internet is not a safe place. Here are a few tips:
Use prepaid cards (Ukash, paysafecard) or ewallets (Neteller, Moneybookers, click2pay) to deposit. You will never have to send a credit card.
Send your documents in a password protected zip file. Call afterwards customer support or use live chat to tell the password.
Prepare a copy with your credit card where part of the number is marked of. Please find more information here.
