Deceiving online casino marketing
Recently I received a promotional mail from Da Vinci’s Gold Casino. The subject line was “Your account has been credited”. After reading the fine print, I first need to open an account, make a deposit and only then I get a 100% bonus. I would like to know how this casino got my email address. This kind of marketing is deceiving and pisses me of. Are people actually that stupid and fall for it?
Marcus, our marketer, has something to say here:
I absolutely agree, this kind of online casino marketing brings the all industry in discredit. Good question how they got your email address. Either you have once signed up with another casino from these group (This is Vegas, Cocoa Casino or Paradise8 casino) or somebody has sold their customer data base. In case you have an gaming account at any of the other brands, than it is cross marketing and usual among companies with different brands. The second reason is spam and unacceptable. What really bothers us is the way this casino is trying to acquire new customers. I am doing gambling marketing for years and the companies I have worked for never used such tactics. 95% of the email traffic is spam and unfortunately you will receive more casino spam mailers. Ignore or report them as spam and just don’t fall for it. There are lots of good online casinos around, where good and honest people are doing a good job.
